.......Leighton Flowers(Interim Pastor)

Leighton Charles Flowers was called to be the interim pastor here at The Oaks on March 2nd! Leighton currently serves as the Evangelism Consultant for the Baptist General Convention of Texas coordinating summer youth camps, rallies, and conferences such as Super Summer, See You at the Pole, and Youth Evangelism Conference. He has served for about 10 years in the local church and he says, "I still feel compelled to preach God's Word."

As a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University (Bachelor of Behavioral Science; Major: Applied Theology, Minor: Speech Communication) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Leighton has served as pastor, student minister, and evangelist at different churches across Texas.

He and his wife, Laura, have four children Colson, Cooper, Esther, and Caden.
