This year The Oaks is presenting a wonderful musical about the birth of Jesus Christ and those that came before Him. Soloist will sing, musicians will play, and actors will act to recreate this timeless tale of our Savior's birth. Please plan to invite your friends, loved ones, and lost neighbors to hear The Word in a way they may never hear again.
Thursdays @ 7pm
Luper Hall
The Link is designed around a very simple discipleship model, Connect > Grow > Serve. One of our major focuses is the connection between The Oaks and the Community. Every 3rd Thursday of the month we will be meeting at The Oaks Baptist Church at 7:00pm and then traveling to serve in the community. Check us out at

Sunday, November 23rd, 6:00pm
A fun and unique fellowship is in store in Luper Hall. With the help of our deacons and other volunteers, each family attending will have the opportunity to build their own Advent log.
Fresh cut logs with drilled holes for the candles will greet each family as they arrive. Following written instructions, each family will talk about the meaning of Advent, followed by a family visit to the candle area to add colored candles to the log. Explanation will be provided on the significance of the colors, and the order of lighting.
There will be no cost for a family to participate, although love gifts will be received to help in the cost. Guests are always invited.
Members are asked to bring their favorite holiday goodies.
Begins Sunday, November 30th
This year we are partnering with Brighter Tomorrows, a not-for-profit– organization that give aid and refuge to women and their children in an abuse situation. Many times these families have to leave with the clothes on their back. They need to have Christmas with gifts like other families. Beginning on November 30, there will be tree in the foyer with the names, need, sizes, and gender of families in need. You may choose an entire family or just one or two members of a family. You will need to purchase the item indicated, wrap it in Christmas paper and bring back to the tree. A team will assemble the gifts by families and take them to Brighter Tomorrows. There will be a special tag you are to place on your gift to indicate the family member. You do not have to contact anyone, just purchase, wrap, and bring back! Please help abused families have a meaningful Christmas!
